The Center for Teaching and Learning at Northeastern State University extends an invitation to nominate your most creative Teacher/Scholar for the 2010 Oklahoma Higher Education Conference Excellence in Teaching Award to be presented at the conference on April 8, 2010.
The NSU Center for Teaching and Learning sponsors this annual conference that emphasizes the use of innovative teaching strategies to support higher education learning. Colleges and universities throughout Oklahoma and the surrounding region participate in this event that encourages establishing a network of colleagues who are interested in expanding their knowledge of innovative teaching strategies.
Each Oklahoma College or University is eligible to nominate one full-time teaching faculty member who has contributed in the most highly creative ways to teaching and learning. Colleges and Universities select their candidate based on an institution-wide search, using their own criteria.
A nomination form must be completed and signed as recommended by either the Academic Vice President, Provost, President or Chancellor of your university.
A scanned 5x7 COLOR glossy electronic file photograph (JPG or GIF please) of the nominee must be included. These materials must be accompanied by the conference registration form. Nominees are encouraged to submit a presentation proposal of their contributions to their institution as a teacher/scholar.
Nominated faculty will be honored at the awards luncheon that will include a presentation of an engraved plaque to each nominee, indicating his/her achievements. Each nominee will have his/her photograph and contributions published on the conference web site.
