Why You Should Get Phlebotomy Certification

A phlebotomy certification basically proves that you are licensed to draw blood from patients. As you may very well know, phlebotomy is the procedure of taking blood sample from a patient by making an incision through the vein.

If you have any idea how a vein looks like, you would know how delicate the procedure is. And because it involves an incision through a needle, you may very well expect it to be painful. Not everyone can withstand the pain that needles bring, some even shut down just at the mere sight of it.

Phlebotomy certification therefore is important because it proves that you have finished the training course required for it, and more importantly, have passed the subsequent certification exam. Because you will also be handling the patients, as well as the laboratory work for the blood samples, it is necessary that you have the technical skills and know-how to be able to deliver the job efficiently.
